A Message From the Owners of Yellow Dog Flyfishing …

As we celebrate a major milestone in our business, we want to say a big thank you to all of our customers, clients, and friends that have supported and worked with Yellow Dog over the past 10 years. Because of you, Yellow Dog continues to move forward as the fastest growing, most successful booking company in the fly fishing industry.

We’ve enjoyed our past ten years in the booking business, and we’re looking forward to many more. While we’re still not the largest company out there or the oldest, we are proud of the fact that we are the hardest working. We realize that in the age of the internet and “virtual everything” that there are a lot of ways to research and book a fishing trip.  And while we are fully aware that there are dozens of travel entities that can basically get you from point A to point B, we know that our customers fish with and recommend Yellow Dog because we offer more. Rather than trying to be all things to all people by offering fishing, big game hunts, photo tours, and cruise packages, we focus on one thingfishing the world. We know the fly fishing industry inside and out, we travel extensively throughout the world, and we appreciate the value of superior customer service and detail.

When our customers return from a Yellow Dog fishing trip with the simple question – “Where to next?” – we know that we’re doing things right. Your first hook up on a large bonefish … cold beers on the deck of the lodge after a long day on the water … watching your son land his first trout on a dry fly … evenings spent at the tying vise preparing for an upcoming trip … these are pieces of the adventure puzzle that we all love. We share in this excitement and look forward to using all of the tools and the full resources of our company to help you research, plan, and prepare your next trip.

For those of you who have booked with us before, we would like to say thank you and let you know that we are looking forward to working with you again in the future. For those who have yet to try Yellow Dog’s services, then let us extend a direct invitation to give us a try!  We’re 100% confident that you will appreciate the very best customer service in the industry, total and complete follow-through, and the kind of hands-on, technical knowledge that will set you up for success and make your next trip as good as it can be.

We look forward to working with you in the near future and to talking with you soon.

Where to next?

Anne Johansen grew up on the Florida Panhandle, spending summers fishing the waters of Boca Grande. After graduating from Washington and Lee in Virginia, she moved to Charlottesville and landed a job at The Albemarle Angler. Working in the fly shop, she learned the lingo of the industry, “caught the bug” and decided to move to Montana. Anne handles a large portion of our U.S. domestic offerings and is Yellow Dog's in-house airline booking agent and travel insurance specialist. A fully-accredited travel agent and a certified expert agent for travel insurance, she is an amazing resource for Yellow Dog clients. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Brita moved to Bozeman in 2007 after graduating from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN. Brita plays a key role here at Yellow Dog, running the office, coordinating the travel materials and itineraries that go out to each and every client, and keeping all of us in line. Chances are good that the materials and paperwork that you receive from Yellow Dog will have Brita’s fingerprints all over them! Growing up, Brita spent many summers out west fishing with her family. She’s also become pretty good on the oars, rowing drift boats and fishing on the rivers in Montana with her dogs Auggie and Gary. ("Gary" as a name for a dog?  Yeah ... we think that's pretty strange as well.)
