How To Get There
Getting to Patagonia is not as difficult as it is time-consuming. Travelers typically take an overnight flight from one of several major cities in the U.S. and arrive in Buenos Aires (Ezeiza International Airport – EZE) in the morning. Guests typically need to overnight in Buenos Aires before flying to Patagonia. From the Buenos Aires domestic airport (Jorge Newbery Domestic Airport – AEP) there are two options to get to the lodge. Based on your travel needs guests can fly to Esquel and transfer 1.5 hours to the lodge or fly to Bariloche and transfer 3 hours to the lodge. Please contact us directly for assistance with airport/hotel transfers and travel logistics within Buenos Aires.
Arrival and Departure Details / Times
Flights from Buenos Aires to Esquel with Aerolineas Argentinas run 6 days per week and are typically 2.5 hours in duration. The other option is to fly to Bariloche from Buenos Aires which runs several times daily and is typically 2 hours and 20 minutes in duration.
Documents Required
Citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, and other Western European nations do not need a visa for tourist trips of up to ninety days. You will need a valid passport and will have to fill in an ‘arrival card.’ You will then be given a tourist visa stamp for stays of thirty, sixty, or ninety days. Staple the duplicate of your arrival card into your passport as you will need it to leave the country. If you lose it, it’s rarely a serious problem, but you’ll have to fill out a new form at border control. Upon entering the country, you will also be given a customs declaration form. Duty is not charged on used personal effects, books, and other articles for non-commercial purposes, up to a value of US $300. Make sure you declare any valuable electronic items such as laptop computers, as customs officers can be suspicious that you may be bringing them into the country to sell.

General Information
Guests have access to some of the most astounding public and private fishing waters in the region, including the Rivadavia, Arrayanes, Carrileufu, and Chubut rivers. Throughout the vast majority of the season, anglers enjoy fishing these crystal-clear waters with various dry fly patterns, however, depending on conditions, nymphs and streamers can also be highly productive. Anglers fish two (2) per guide and fish most of the waters from rafts and/or drift boats with some opportunities for wade fishing. Drive times to fishing areas range from 15 minutes to 1 hour.
Boats and Equipment
Lodge equipment includes rafts with casting frames and high-back seats and drift boats. Guests can rely on the lodge and guides for backup rods, reels, and flies however anglers should bring as much of their own gear and equipment as possible, including waders, boots, flies, rods, and reels.
