General Information
The Pacific coast of Guatemala features some of the world’s most consistently calm billfishing waters. Fishing in Guatemala normally takes place in an area called the “Pocket,” a deep underwater canyon that is 30 NM wide. Many days fishing will start just 12 to 15 miles offshore on the tip of the canyon. Other days, the guides may run as far as 40 miles if that’s what it takes to put you on the fish.
Pacific Fins is an excellent location for experienced and beginner fly anglers alike to pursue marlin with opportunities for dorado and tuna as well. While this type of fly fishing presents its own unique challenges, you will have a highly-experienced crew by your side to ensure a great time. During the day your crew will serve you a hot lunch, snacks, and fresh fruit. They will also prepare fresh ceviche or sashimi right in the galley. Of course, beer and soda will also be available. Combine this great fishery with the comfort and hospitality of the Resort and you have a recipe for an incredible fishing experience.
Boats and Equipment
Pacific Fins’ fleet features the newest, fastest, and most luxurious sportfishing yachts in Guatemala. Every boat is meticulously maintained for your comfort and safety. All boats are equipped with top-of-the-line gear and tackle and the crews are the best in the world, with each boat featuring an experienced Captain and two excellent mates.

"My buddy and I plan to go here yearly. I can’t lie, sailfish were not at the top of my list, but man are they fantastic. The eat is insane, the run is ridiculous, and their aerial show is incredible. I’m not sure if this is a popular YD destination, but it should be. I loved every second and cannot wait to return!" - Brian I.
"The lodge, food, captain and mates were all first class. We’d recommend the trip to any adventurous fly fishers." - Jim J.
