The lodge and its guest cabins are situated on the best run of ASC’s most prized steelhead river, offering convenient and private boat access for drift boats and power drifters, ensuring guests can reach prime fishing waters with ease. ASC owns a substantial amount of acreage on both sides of the river for guests to enjoy for fishing and streamside lunches. The views of the river are absolutely breathtaking, morning, day, and night. Each room in the lodge is thoughtfully appointed with all the comforts of home and can be double or even single occupancy upon request and availability. ASC also offers 3 guest cabins, two of which are single or double occupancy and a large cabin for bigger groups of 4-6 anglers. The lodge and guest cabins are equipped with Wi-Fi and satellite TV. For your convenience, Laundry Service is available for $25 per load, so you are able to pack light and enjoy your favorite gear throughout your stay. It’s not uncommon to see moose wandering the property or even swimming across the river, bald eagles soaring by or the occasional lynx. For the more adventurous guests willing to stay up late, the famous Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, occasionally paints the sky in dazzling displays during this time of year.

General Information
With incredible access to numerous rivers and streams along the Kenai Peninsula and Cook Inlet, Alaska Steelhead Company has honed its fishing program over many years to deliver some of the best wild steelhead fishing that can be found anywhere in the world. Because of this and the exceptional runs of wild steelhead this area receives each fall season, ASC can provide multiple fishing scenarios to guests throughout their stay. Options include swinging flies, skating dry flies or nymphing on larger rivers via boat, hiking smaller streams, helicopter access to very remote areas, and even floating in rafts and inflatable kayaks if the conditions are right for the adventurous angler. ASC and their team will work with anglers each evening to go over the plan for the following day and tailor each week to accommodate anglers’ desires during their trip. Steelhead is the typical main draw for most guests, but ASC also has some opportunities for incredible silver salmon and dolly varden fishing as well.
While the state of Alaska is typically recognized for its resident trout and salmon fishing opportunities, ASC is in a league of its own in providing diverse and world-class fishing opportunities for one of the planet’s greatest wild steelhead runs.
Boats and Equipment
Alaska Steelhead Company has a variety of drift and jet boats available for their guides to access different areas of the watershed each day. Most of the boats are used as a means of transportation each day to get anglers to the best wading options throughout each watershed. A very unique aspect of the ASC program is each angler does have one helicopter/plane fly-out included in their package to remote, untouched fisheries during their stay (option to add on more at an additional rate). ASC does have access to numerous helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft that allow their team to explore all the area has to offer!
The lodge can also outfit any guests with high-quality fishing rods and reels during your stay if preferred. Flies, terminal tackle and any fishing gear needed are included in your package. It is requested that all anglers bring their own waders and non-felt boots during their stay.
