All the accommodations have thermostat-controlled AC, Wi-Fi, in-room and stocked fridges, sitting areas, high thread count bedding, phones, spacious and well-appointed bathrooms, a private porch with comfy furniture, and room service. You will feel the attention to detail with all the amenities and service, even down to the towels. The club also offers a state-of-the-art clubhouse complete with ping pong and foosball tables, board games, and a sitting area around an expansive flat-screen TV ideal for checking out the game on DirectTV. A compact gym has A/C with multiple machines and free weights. The club even has a pickleball court. Professionally instructed yoga classes are available each morning overlooking the beach, bay, and Tongue of the Ocean. The 50-foot freshwater pool is wrapped with decking and shaded lounge chairs and is steps from the beach. The private, white sand beach overlooks the crystal-clear waters of Andros and offers shaded tiki-style umbrellas and lounge chairs.
Food and Beverages
The main restaurant and bar are open all day. Chef Sebastian Perez and his culinary team will tantalize your taste buds with international and Caribbean cuisine – featuring fresh produce, meats, and seafood. The club specializes in seafood which is all locally and ethically harvested from the waters of Andros. We cannot express how impressed we are with the dining experience at the club. We rank the culinary experience at Caerula Mar as one of the finest found anywhere in the Caribbean. The bar features the gold standard of beer in the Bahamas – ice-cold Kaliks – as well as Bahamian craft beers, a wide array of unique cocktails, top-shelf liquors, and an extensive wine list. Adjacent to the beach and pool is the cabana bar offering full-service drinks and meals from 11 AM to 5 PM. Room service is also available. The friendly staff is so welcoming and attentive, that you will feel right at home.
Typical Length of Stay
Trips of any length are available. Travel to South Andros is so convenient that shorter weekend trips or extended stays are welcome.
Non-Angling Activities and Options
Complimentary activities include kayaks, paddleboards, and bicycles to explore South Andros. Take it to the next level by choosing from a wide array of diving and snorkeling options, such as night dives, exploring the dozens of local blue holes, coral head dives, or descending along a reef wall that defines the Tongue of the Ocean, which plunges from roughly 100 to 5,000 feet deep. While with advanced notice you can be certified to scuba dive on-site, we recommend taking care of this before arriving to maximize your time in the waters of Andros. Guided eco and nature tours are also available to explore Andros’ pristine, tropical environment and inland blue holes.
The Spa at Caerula Mar
Utilizing mostly Androsian flora to heighten your senses, the spa offers various treatments that will ease you into a relaxing state, thus distancing you from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Most of the fragrant ingredients used in the facials, deep tissue massages, or detoxifying treatments are from sustainable and renewable resources. We suggest booking spa treatments prior to arrival.
Internet / Communications
The resort offers complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property. Most U.S. cell phones will work throughout the Bahamas depending on your plan.
How To Get There
There are several options for flying into Congo Town Airport (TZN). Please contact Yellow Dog for ticketing and scheduling assistance. Our recommended choice for reaching this part of Andros Island is through Nassau with Western Air. Western flies two flights each day to Congo Town from Nassau International Airport (NAS). Makers Air in Fort Lauderdale also services Congo Town almost daily. Groups of more than six people may consider a private charter from Fort Lauderdale or Nassau. Yellow Dog works with several charter companies in Fort Lauderdale and Nassau and would be happy to work with you to arrange a charter flight. Please allow at least two hours between your inbound Nassau flight and your connecting flight to Andros Island to pass through customs and immigration. On the way home we suggest three hours between the Andros flight and your international flight back to the U.S.
Arrival and Departure Details / Times
The flights from Nassau (NAS) to Congo Town (TZN) depart at 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM and take 20 minutes. The flights return to Nassau (NAS) at 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Reservations can be made with Western Air (or Yellow Dog can make these arrangements for you). You may now book your Western Air ticket online or over the phone, but we do insist you check-in one hour before departure time. Once you arrive in Congo Town, a taxi will meet you at the airport to take you on the 10-minute drive from the airport in Congo Town on South Andros to the Caerula Mar Club. This taxi is included in the package price.
Documents Required
All U.S. citizens are required to have a valid passport that does not expire within six (6) months of trip dates. Please be sure that your passport has at least two blank, unstamped pages remaining in the back, and that it is not torn, delaminated or damaged in any way.

General Information
The main fishery for Caerula Del Mar is the South Bight of Andros Island, where an expansive system of natural channels bisects the islands, creating hundreds of square miles of shallow lagoons and white sand flats where bonefish flourish. With easy access to the best fishing areas, guides will take you to where the tides and winds are most favorable on any given day. The guides have the ability to “chase optimal tides throughout the days.” This is due to the way the tides ebb and flow through this massive fishery, which holds great numbers of bonefish. Since the tides are always opposite on the west or east coast, you will never get stuck in an off tide, such as high tide when fish are inaccessible in the mangroves. Everything from easy-to-catch, schoolie-sized fish all the way up to some of the largest bonefish that swim in the Bahamas are available within the bights. The west side of Andros is only a 30-minute run, which is a great spot to be for large bonefish along with seasonal opportunities for tarpon and permit.
The Tongue of the Ocean, a 6,000-foot trench that begins one mile off the east coast of Andros, provides consistently clear water during all weather conditions. You will never be fishing an off-tide, chasing fish deep in the mangroves, or fishing in off-colored water during your guided days. Typical guided fishing days run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Along with the area’s remarkable bonefish population, anglers can also target barracuda, sharks, jacks, snapper, and even offshore species. The club does work with charter Captains for bottom and offshore fishing. When jigging off the reef or coral heads, table fare is the target consisting of mutton and mangrove snapper, as well as grouper. When trolling in the Tongue of the Ocean one hopes to hook up with explosive tuna, dolphin fish (mahi-mahi, dorado), wahoo, marlin, or a sailfish. All guided fishing should be booked with Yellow Dog well ahead of time. We have known all the guides in the area for decades.
All the area’s independent guides are excellent captains with many years of experience. They run 16- and 17-foot Action Craft, Hewes, Hell’s Bay’s, and Dolphin Skiffs with 75HP Yamaha. All skiffs are outfitted with poling platforms, poles, plenty of rod storage, coolers with plenty of ice, and cushioned seats. For offshore days, you will fish aboard a 24-foot, twin-engine center console catamaran. Offshore spin gear, lures, bait, and plugs can be provided for bluewater days, but please bring all your fly gear.
