The epitome of remote, Gangler’s North Seal River Lodge is in the heart of a vast, virgin fly-in-only area and is hidden 200 miles from Manitoba, Canada’s northernmost road. This exclusive watershed stretches over 5 million acres of beautiful northern Manitoba wilderness, a gateway to 100 lakes and 12 river systems. There are no roads here, no people, no commercial fishing, and no other lodges. This is exclusive and pristine wilderness fly fishing!
Lodging Details
Guests stay in comfortable cabins that sleep two or four anglers. Each cabin has a screened-in porch with chairs, two-rod holders, and racks for hanging gear. Each cabin has a full bath, 2 full-size beds per room, with a dresser and nightstand. The common area offers a TV with couches and chairs, and propane heater, and a coffee maker to warm up after mornings on the water. Each cabin is equipped with extra pillows, linens, and blankets, towels, and soap. Each room has closets and plenty of hooks and hangers for clothing. Each cabin has Wi-Fi access. Laundry facilities are on-site.
Food and Beverages
The food at the main lodge is exceptional with breakfast each morning. Cocktails and complimentary hors d’ouveres are served at 5:00 and dinner is scheduled promptly at 7 p.m. Gangler’s dining is a 5-star experience striking a balance between gourmet cuisine without sacrificing the heartiness great fishing demands. From apricot-glazed cornish hens to steak dinner, encrusted leg of lamb with rosemary potatoes, or the perfectly cooked prime rib with a maki-style cucumber wrapped salad, each dining experience is a delight!

Non-Angling Activities and Options
While fishing is certainly the focus here, this remote Canadian destination has great options to satisfy both anglers and non-anglers. Numerous hiking tours and biking trails are available directly from the Lodge. When night falls, this area is known as Manitoba’s finest destination for Northern Lights. Eco-tours and packages can be arranged. Wildlife photography safaris, interpretive and archaeology tours, sub-arctic exploration and tundra tours provide a complete overview of the unique Canadian Sub-Arctic. A 4-day trip to the lodge in late July or early August can be combined with an incredible trip to Churchill to see the beluga whales and polar bears – the ultimate Manitoba experience.
