Lodging Details
Accommodations are in beachfront cottages directly overlooking the ocean. The Club has the feel of a very secluded destination because there are really no other buildings in sight. The beach to the south can be walked for miles in bare feet and is truly pristine (except for a mysterious plane submerged on the shallow flats!). Each cottage features a shared screened-in porch, a large, private bathroom, a stocked fridge, a walk-in closet, two queen-sized beds with high thread count linens, and a sitting table. These rooms are very comfortable and clean, with ceiling fans and A/C. The furniture is plush, and plenty of storage space for gear and clothing is available. The lounge chairs arranged on the beach before each cottage are perfect for reading and relaxing. A swimming pool surrounded by a deck with tables and chairs sits between the cottages and the main building. The Founder’s House is a larger cottage and best suited for groups, outfitted with a kitchen and large sitting area.
Food and Beverages
The meals at North Riding Point are exceptional. Breakfasts are cooked-to-order each morning, and a full cooler lunch with beverages is packed for each fishing day. Dinners are always gourmet, and the diverse menu includes all types of fresh seafood, great steaks, chicken, and the freshest Conch around. The Club is happy to accommodate any special menu or dietary requests.
Typical Length of Stay
Trips of any length are available, and the convenience of Grand Bahama Island makes North Riding Point Club the perfect getaway for a week-long fishing trip or a quick weekend escape. Flights arrive and depart Freeport’s Grand Bahama International Airport (FPO) every day of the week from several cities in the Eastern U.S.
Non-Angling Activities and Options
While North Riding Point typically attracts anglers, the overall area does offer a number of solid non-angling options. Non-angling activities include golfing at two USGA championship golf courses, diving, snorkel trips, glass-bottomed boat tours, eco-tours, parasailing, sea kayaking, and a host of other water-related options for all age groups. For those interested in island nightlife, NRPC is approximately 30 minutes from Freeport’s main shopping district and casino. There are numerous restaurants, bars, and nightclubs in Freeport as well.
Internet / Communications
The Club does offer Wi-Fi for guests, and the office offers a computer for guest use if needed. Most U.S. cell phones will work in Grand Bahama depending on your service plan.

General Information
While Grand Bahama is primarily a bonefish destination, barracuda, shark, and permit fishing can also be productive throughout the year. The guides of North Riding Point Club are very professional, know their home waters well, and have many years of experience. They work hard to maximize and make the most of your time on the water daily. The standard fishing package at the Club includes a half-day of guided fishing for either your arrival or departure day! We’ve found that the average bonefish on Grand Bahama is larger than most of the other islands in the Bahamas. And while the topography of most of the flats in the area makes fishing from the boat most productive, there are numerous wading opportunities as well. The tides, weather, and wind will dictate the best time to wade fish. The guides can typically accommodate anglers’ requests with regard to the quality of fish (larger but possibly fewer shots) versus quantities of fish (smaller and more shots). They can also handle anglers of any skill level and do so with an upbeat, enthusiastic style.
The Club Guides trailer skiffs each day from the Lodge, enabling them to fish the most productive flats in the area after taking account of daily conditions. The weather will typically dictate the plan for the day and where exactly you will fish. Trailering boats in an air-conditioned SUV for 20 to 50 minutes each way certainly beats getting beat up in heavy seas trying to access the flats. Grand Bahama is simply too long and expansive to make those longer runs via water every day, so the trailer and boat ramp method is the most effective way to fish. The northern area of Grand Bahama is the main fishery for the Club, but guides do fish waters all over the island, including their own southern shore. These southern oceanside waters offer classic, pure white sand flats that are easily among the most beautiful in the world. These flats are rarely fished and have some impressive “ocean-surfing” bones. Regardless of where you fish, once the boat is in the water, the flats are close and you typically will not run for more than 20 minutes.
Boats and Equipment
Anglers fish from new Hell’s Bay skiffs outfitted with poling platforms, 85HP Yamaha outboards, and spacious casting decks. They are roomy, fast, and comfortable. Each day, your guide will trailer the boat to the launch in an SUV with A/C. Rental fly fishing gear is available, and there is a small, well-stocked fly shop at the Club.

No refund or credit will be given for trips cancelled inside of 60 days from start of trip, regardless of reason. If a cancelled package is resold by either the lodge or by Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, then a full refund will be sent minus a $100.00 processing fee per guest charged by the lodge (in addition to a $100.00 per person cancellation fee charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing.) NRPC and Yellow Dog strongly recommend that anglers and guests purchase travel insurance for your trip. NRPC will not refund payments in the event of a hurricane or poor weather.
