North Riding Point Club
Lodging Details
Accommodations are in beachfront cottages directly overlooking the ocean. The Club has the feel of a very secluded destination because there are really no other buildings in sight. The beach to the south can be walked for miles in bare feet and is truly pristine (except for a mysterious plane submerged on the shallow flats!). Each cottage features a shared screened-in porch, a large, private bathroom, a stocked fridge, a walk-in closet, two queen-sized beds with high thread count linens, and a sitting table. These rooms are very comfortable and clean, with ceiling fans and A/C. The furniture is plush, and plenty of storage space for gear and clothing is available. The lounge chairs arranged on the beach before each cottage are perfect for reading and relaxing. A swimming pool surrounded by a deck with tables and chairs sits between the cottages and the main building. The Founder’s House is a larger cottage and best suited for groups, outfitted with a kitchen and large sitting area.
Food and Beverages
The meals at North Riding Point are exceptional. Breakfasts are cooked-to-order each morning, and a full cooler lunch with beverages is packed for each fishing day. Dinners are always gourmet, and the diverse menu includes all types of fresh seafood, great steaks, chicken, and the freshest Conch around. The Club is happy to accommodate any special menu or dietary requests.
Typical Length of Stay
Trips of any length are available, and the convenience of Grand Bahama Island makes North Riding Point Club the perfect getaway for a week-long fishing trip or a quick weekend escape. Flights arrive and depart Freeport’s Grand Bahama International Airport (FPO) every day of the week from several cities in the Eastern U.S.
Non-Angling Activities and Options
While North Riding Point typically attracts anglers, the overall area does offer a number of solid non-angling options. Non-angling activities include golfing at two USGA championship golf courses, diving, snorkel trips, glass-bottomed boat tours, eco-tours, parasailing, sea kayaking, and a host of other water-related options for all age groups. For those interested in island nightlife, NRPC is approximately 30 minutes from Freeport’s main shopping district and casino. There are numerous restaurants, bars, and nightclubs in Freeport as well.
Internet / Communications
The Club does offer Wi-Fi for guests, and the office offers a computer for guest use if needed. Most U.S. cell phones will work in Grand Bahama depending on your service plan.
